In 2009, LIRIS launched a call for cross-disciplinary projects. These large-scale inter- or intra-team projects enable young researchers to launch a one- or two-year project, with a budget of up to 6,600 euros. These collaborations can take many forms: a hardware platform, joint software development, an exploratory scientific project, organization of a scientific event, writing a book, etc. The annual call for projects takes place in June, so that projects can be selected in September. In September, the selected teams can propose end-of-study projects or research master's internships financed by the laboratory. Applications are evaluated by a committee made up of 6 researchers representing LIRIS's 6 areas of expertise, members of the management committee and the head of cross-functional projects.
