3 papers accepted at the conference CVPR by groups IMAGINE and SICAL
Three papers from the IMAGINE work group of LIRIS have been accepted at the conference CVPR. CVPR is the conference with the highest impact in computer science as measured by the H5 index (=299), and 5th highest impact publication in general science after “Nature”, “The new England Journal of Medicine”, “Science” and “The Lancet”.

The chair position in Artificial Intelligence "REMEMBER", proposed by a LIRIS researcher, has been selected by an international committee
The AI chair position “Remember: Learning Reasoning, Memory and Behavior”, led by Christian Wolf and involving Laetitia Matignon (LIRIS) and Olivier Simonin (CITI, Inria) and Jilles Dibangoye (CITI, Inria) will study the connections between machine learning, optimal control and mobile robotics. It is funded by the French Agency Agence National de Recherche (ANR), by the company Naver Labs Europe and by INSA de Lyon.

Best paper Award at the International Workshop "Visualization for AI Explainability" 2019
The article presented by Théo Jaunet, co-advised by Romain Vuillemot (SICAL) and Christian Wolf (IMAGINE), won the award for best paper at the International Workshop "Visualization for AI Explainability", which was organised jointly with the international conference IEEE VIS 2019.

A new fuzzy switching filter for time series denoising
How to denoise non-stationary data with progressive transitions between 2 states, such as temperatures measured during day/night rotations? To solve this type of problem, we propose a new Gaussian linear fuzzy filtering algorithm, which is optimal and fast.
