The aim of this project is to produce a didactical application on smartphone to recognize the different tree and shrubs species growing in metropolitan France. This project is a follow-up to the ANR ReVeS project, which dealt with the recognition of tree species via leaves, and which made it possible to create the smartphone application called Folia (http://liris.univ-lyon2.fr/ dreams /). The objective of this thesis is to develop the algorithms for the recognition of tree species from other organs such as bark, flowers and fruits, in order to enrich the Folia application currently dealing only with leaves.
