My PhD is centered on the study of reductive evolution of bacterial genomes using bioinformatic analysis and in silico evolutionary experiments
with the Aevol platform
. In particular, I am interested in reductive evolution of a marine cyanobacteria (Prochlorococcus marinus) and in comparing the reductive evolution of this bacteria to the reductive evolution in endosymbionts like Buchnera apidicola
