Summary:

The aim of this project is to develop tools and methods that enable cyclists to better perceive their posture and adjust it in real time according to their use, whether for soft mobility or competitive sports. To promote this awareness and empower users to take control of their positioning, we offer real-time anatomical visualization of an avatar representing the cyclist on a virtual bike. This simulation will be accompanied by a set of dynamic information directly related to their posture, including their aerodynamic and pedaling performance. This data will be obtained by calculating a space of personalized postures, based on several parameters: the geometry of the bike frame, the joint amplitudes of the upper and lower limbs, and the positioning of the support points. In addition, we will take into account the cyclist's aerodynamics by estimating their drag coefficient based on their exposed frontal area, as well as their pedaling efficiency by analyzing the quality, amplitude, and fluidity of their movement. The main challenge is to calculate and present this information in a clear and useful way to help the user adjust their posture and feel the nuances.
