Summary:

In order to determine an innovative mapping solution that goes beyond the known limits of traditional cartography, a research activity has begun to involve experts from different fields. This thesis is part of a research project whose objective is to study an innovative mapping solution able of representing the dynamic movement and the changes that are responsible for very complex situations.
The motivation of this thesis is mainly based on the concept of Chorems. Based on this motivation, the purpose of this thesis is to develop a method of generating visual summaries based on chorems, from a geographic database. After a step of spatial data mining, the most important facts will be extracted and visualized.
