Currently, Chinese farmers have difficulties in accessing medical care because of poverty and the very expensive medical expenses. Although the rural cooperative medical insurance today can solve a certain problem, but the rate of repayment and the total amount to be refunded are very limited. And farmers are forced to bear a very large portion of medical expenses.
I think if we can find another method to improve the current situation in the countryside of China. During my master studies, I did a survey of farmers in the small village of SHIFANG in the province of Anhui, China.
According to the result of this investigation, we can say that the rural medical insurance has a very good prospect in the Chinese countryside.
