Portrait of Françoise Conil: software development engineer at LIRIS.
At the end of November, the CNRS Institute for Information Sciences and their Interactions (INS2I) published the portrait of Françoise Conil, software development engineer at LIRIS, extracted from the comic "digital decoders".
“A few years ago, I wouldn't have thought of feminizing my profession by introducing myself, now I do it systematically. I am very attached to the use or distribution of open source code. I think it is a great opportunity not to depend on the famous Big Tech (Big Five). On the one hand, for the protection of personal data, then to be less dependent on a private actor who can change its conditions of use, its prices and its operating mode."
