Charles Javerliat and Aymeric Erades recognized at the Expl’Aura Bootcamp – Young Researchers

The autumn 2025 edition of the Expl’Aura Bootcamp, whose final challenge took place on 18 November 2025 at the Hôtel de Région, rewarded two participants. Charles Javerliat and Aymeric Erades each received a distinction. Charles was the winner for the Lyon Saint-Étienne academic site with the project “KINEO: motion capture accessible to everyone” (supervisor: Guillaume Lavoué), while Aymeric received the Jury’s Favourite Award for the project “Automated analysis of table tennis matches” (supervisor: Romain Vuillemot).

What is the Expl’Aura Bootcamp?

It is a three-day bootcamp for PhD students, young researchers and engineers in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Its aim is to help them transform their skills and research results into innovative products or services.

Initiated by PULSALYS, Linksium and Clermont Auvergne Innovation, the Expl’Aura Bootcamp is supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and is part of the missions of the PUI IMPULSE (Lyon Saint-Étienne), FITInnovE (Grenoble) and CAP I-TERR (Clermont Auvergne). These projects are funded by the French State under France 2030.

The autumn 2025 edition of the Expl’Aura Bootcamp concluded with a final challenge on 18 November 2025 at the Hôtel de Région. Two participants from LIRIS were honoured:

  • Charles Javerliat, winner for the Lyon Saint-Étienne academic site with his project KINEO: motion capture accessible to everyone” (supervisor: Guillaume Lavoué)

  • Aymeric Erades, Jury’s Favourite Award for his project Automated analysis of table tennis matches” (supervisor: Romain Vuillemot).
