Many of us can point to a moment, sometimes small, sometimes life-changing, when someone made science feel possible: a teacher, a mentor, a friend. A simple encouragement can light a spark in a girl and years later that spark can grow into a scientific path. Today is a reminder that talent is everywhere and that inclusive role models and supportive environments help it thrive.

To mark the occasion, we are building an online “fresque” of women scientists, a collective tribute to inspiring figures from around the world, and to the memories that shaped our own journeys.
