Eurographics 2018: an award for a GeoMod paper

The paper "Wavejets: a local frequency framework for shape details amplification" was awarded an honorable mention of the Gunter Enderle Award at Eurographics 2018. The jury underlined a solid contribution to the field of point set surface analysis.

The paper "Wavejets: a local frequency framework for shape details amplification" was awarded an honorable mention of the Gunter Enderle Award at Eurographics 2018. The jury underlined a solid contribution to the field of point set surface analysis. Indeed, this paper introduces a new function basis for local surface analysis, separating the polynomial radial evolution from the angular oscillations. The decomposition coefficients on this basis can be interpreted in terms of differential properties and lead to new integral invariants, used for shape detail
amplification among others. This research is part of the ANR PAPS Project.

The GeoMod team presented a total of 4 papers at Eurographics 2018.
