On November 17, 2025, Julien Velcin will give a lecture dedicated to Large Language Models (LLMs), which have profoundly transformed the way we process information with our computers: information retrieval, machine translation, problem-solving, programming, and much more.

In this talk, he will begin by placing these models in a broader context, tracing their evolution within the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing.

He will then shed light on how they work, before presenting their current limitations as well as the technological solutions being explored today to overcome them.
