Conference by Julien Velcin – Conversational AI: From ELIZA to ChatGPT
Large Language Models (LLMs) have transformed the use of artificial intelligence from information retrieval to programming.
This talk will outline their role in the evolution of AI, briefly explain how they work, and discuss their current limitations as well as the solutions being explored to overcome them.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have revolutionized the way we process information with computers from information retrieval and machine translation to problem-solving and programming. In this talk, I will begin by briefly placing these models within the broader context of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing. I will then shed some light on how they work, before highlighting their limitations and the solutions currently being developed.
