Hello everyone,

The next LIRIS Thesis Day will take place on Friday, 27 March 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Gaston Berger lecture theatre (for presentations) and the Gaston Berger Hall for morning and afternoon breaks. You are probably familiar with this lecture theatre, located at INSA Lyon, behind the Blaise Pascal building opposite the La Doua Gaston Berger tram stop (T1, T4 or T6).

As last year, we have chosen to offer you a programme that will run throughout the day. The presentations will be organised by scientific field. Depending on your team, you will spend either the morning or the afternoon there, and we strongly encourage you, if your schedule allows, to stay for the whole day to listen to the other doctoral students.
We would like to remind you that all doctoral students enrolled in a thesis at LIRIS are concerned by this event and that the presentation of their work to the laboratory during a JDT is mandatory.

  • Who is presenting this year? D2 students (students enrolled between 1 September 2024 and 30 January 2025: are invited to come and present their work, as well as those who were unable to participate last year (and who were in D2 at the time).
  • What format? A 5-7 minute oral presentation (a ‘demo’ format of the same length is also possible) followed by 3-5 minutes of questions.
