The GeoMod team of LIRIS laboratory designs algorithms and data structures related to geometric modeling. The main research topics of GeoMod are: modeling of complex natural scenes and ecosystem simulation, 3D shape reconstruction, generation of quality meshes, combinatorial aspect of compression, interactive visualization, mesh generation, calculation of analytical descriptors, evolving meshes with geometric and topological changes and huge meshes.
The team researchs are conducted on two frameworks: Hybrid for complex shape modeling, and Arches for the representation of complex natural scenes.
