BIODEVICES 2018 Best Student Award
The BIODEVICES conference delivered the Best Student Paper Award to Arthur Gatouillat for this work on "integrating IoT characteristics to biomedical wearable devices."
Sylvie Servigne director of the CNRS Research Group MAGIS
Sylvie Servigne, Lecturer-Researcher at INSA Lyon, in the laboratory LIRIS, was named(appointed), on January 1st, 2018, director of the CNRS Research Group MAGIS " Methods and Applications for Geomatics and Spatial Information ".
DEXA 2017 international conference
The LIRIS laboratory has organized the 28th edition of the conference DEXA 2017 (Database and Expert Systems Applications) which took place from August 28th to 31st, 2017 at IAE Lyon, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. DEXA is a well-established conference in the Database, Knowledge Base, and Services communities.
DGCI Best Student Paper Award
The Discrete Geometry for Computer Imagery conference delivered the Best Student Paper Award to Thomas Caissard for his work on a discrete Laplace-Beltrami operator on Digital Surfaces
Patent :“SQL query completion process”.
In collaboration with Pulsalys, LIRIS (UMR 5205 CNRS) registered a patent in France on August 14th 2017 (n° FR1757682), on a “SQL query completion process”.
GEOMOD team from LIRIS at SIGGRAPH Asia 2017
The GeoMod team, in collaboration the University of Purdue (USA) and Ubisoft, will present at SIGGRAPH Asia 2017 a novel interactive method to author and edit terrains.
Science days 2017 at LIRIS
The LIRIS lab hosts for the first time the Science days in his building. There will be workshops for pupils and the general public, together with short conferences about popularization of computer science.

The LIRIS is a joint research unit to CNRS (UMR 5205), INSA Lyon, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Université Lumière Lyon 2 and Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Its main scientific research area is Computer Science and, more generally, Information Technologies.
