Short Biography

Chirine Ghédira is actually an associate professor at Claude Bernard University, Lyon, France. She is member of "Service Oriented Computing" research team of  the LIRIS-CNRS UMR 5205 research center. She received a PhD degree in computer science (2002), Master in computer-integrated manufacturing (1998), and an engineer degree in computer science (1997) from the National Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) of Lyon, France. She also received a technical engineer degree in industrial computer science (1995) from the National Engineering School of  Monastir - Tunisia.

Research

Chirine Ghédira current research interests include web service technology, interoperabilty, distributed and heterogeneous information systems and context-aware computing. Her research concentrates on:
     - Technology Web Services (WS) around the following aspects: 1) the dynamic composition of Web services with researches on the semantic and contextual mediation of the services as well as the management of the conflicts in term of associated policies; 2) the replacement (substitution) of the Web services; 3) the security and the quality of Web services; 4) the contextualisation and the adaptation of the Web services.
     - Service-oriented Information Systems (SoIS)

Her first researches include several years work on adaptive hypermedia systems and medical information systems at the Laboratory for Information System Engineering (LISI), with collaboration of the National institute of health and medical research (ERM 107) at the Lyon's Cardiological Hospital.
