                                                         ITESM de Monterrey, Mexico
                                       Abstract:
This project aims at designing an information system for the monitoring of natual risks from
the Popocat´epetl volcano. More precisely, we focus on problems linked to realtimespatio-temporal
databases coming from sensors. New indexing structures have been proposed in the Guillaume Noel'

PhD submitted November 2006). Presently, we focus on the quality assessment and metadata
linked to data coming from sensors (Claudia Gutierrez’
PhD).

                   Project Title: Physical Hypermedia,  2005 - 2009
Partner:  Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina
                                       Abstract:
Physical hypermedia are objects of the real world completed by descriptions on Internet allowing for
instance determining how to go from
one object to another one by means of W-links (= Walkable links).

One of the key-issue is to explain itineraries from one physical hypermedia to another one by means
of a list of decorated pictures
.

Project Title: GIS4EU : Provision of interoperable datasets to open GI to the EU communities2008-2011

                               European Project : eContentPlus
Abstract:  In Europe the situation on spatial information is characterised by a lack of harmonisation between datasets
at different geographical scales, fragmentized datasets and sources, gaps in availability and duplication
                                                         of information collection.

The GIS4EU project aims to provide base cartography datasets (administration units, hydrography,
transportation networks and elevation themes) for Europe, and to ensure its cross scale, cross language
and cross border interoperability and accessibility accord to standards and INSPIRE directive requirements.
