Responsability
Research interests

My research activity is related to Computer Graphics and Geometric Modelling, with a focus on Computational Geometry data structures and algorithms. It covers the following topics :

Me and my colleagues are members of the GeoMod team, that focuses on Geometric Modelling, Computational Geometry and Fractals. 

My work is part of the PAPS project which focuses on the exploitation of surface self-similarities. Previously, the purpose of the Art3D project was to develop a platform for the digital preservation of cultural heritage artwork. The EROS3D project was more more focused on the exploitation of an artwork data-base, and the TRIANGLES project dealt with new challenges in triangulation. I am also involved in the LIMA project.

Les années précédentes, j'ai également effectué les enseignements suivants : J'ai également enseigné pendant 3 ans au Département Informatique de l'Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis. Auparavant, j'avais déjà enseigné à l'Université Claude Bernard de Lyon en tant que vacataire (tout au long de ma thèse), puis en tant qu'ATER. Je suis ainsi intervenue dans des cours et TD/TP de programmation (C, C++, Pascal), d'algorithmique, de théorie des graphes, de bases de données, de systèmes d'information, et d'initiation à l'infographie, auprès d'étudiants de Deug (Informatique et Miage), d'IUT, ainsi que de Licence et de Maîtrise (Informatique et Miage).
Resume
Raphaëlle's research interests include 3D geometric modelling and computational geometry. After completing her PhD in computer science from the Université Claude Bernard in France in the domain of point set surfaces analysis, Raphaëlle joined the PRISME team at INRIA Sophia Antipolis as she got hired by the Université de Nice as an associate professor. During 3 years, she focused her work on 3D reconstruction and computational geometry. Since 2003, Raphaëlle is now involved in the LIRIS (CNRS) research laboratory and the University of Lyon, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. She is deeply involved in the animation of the LIRIS research team GeoMod that she is now heading. She obtained a professorship in Computer Science in september 2013. She graduated with an engineer degree of the Ecole Centrale of Lyon, with a third year specialisation in Applied Mathematics at the Ecole Centrale of Paris in France.
