Research interests

My research interests lie in the areas of Virtual Reality and Computer Graphics, with a large spectrum including immersive polysensory experiences, user behavior analysis, objective/subjective visual quality assessment, 3D graphics compression, and geometry processing. I lead the LIRIS XR Team at Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Our overall objective is to better understand and improve the quality of user experience in immersive 3D applications, by proposing new algorithms and devices, as well as experimental human studies. We believe in open science and are regular providers of public datasets, open-source software, and open hardware. Our main target applications are cultural heritage, exposure therapy and immersive learning.
